I rolled out of bed at 8 o'clock. Tony had had the kids up for 1.5 hours already and was getting them all seated for breakfast when I went out to make my coffee. I hung out by myself for a few minutes, enjoying my coffee, while Tony fed the trio their yogurt. They will not eat for him if I'm in the room... you'd think it was breastfeeding or something. Ridiculous. So we find that the times when he does need to feed them (Mother's Day, for one!), it's best if I stay out of sight.
After breakfast Gwen came running in to wish me a "Happy Mamma's Day!" and give me a big hug. Then she started opening my present, LOL She had actually written "MOM" out on the envelope and wrote her name by herself, inside the card!!!!! Of course, Tony coached her, but she apparently knew what she was doing. I had no idea she was capable of writing letters already, so that was a great gift. Adorable, surprising, and a very proud moment for me. I mean, shit, she's not even 3!

Gwen pretty much opened up my present, which was exactly what I had asked for. The My Life Pocket Digital Photo Album by Brookstone. After that Tony made us some egg sandwiches and we played with the kids for a little while. I got up off my ass to do a few things (one of which was to NOT shower! LOL). We made the kids lunch a half hour early, in an attempt to put them down for their nap earlier, as they've been having a hard time with the adjustment to one nap and making all the way until nap time without melting down or passing out randomly around the house or in their food. Once everyone was down for a nap Tony went outside to mow the lawn and I started playing with my digi photo album. Until I got drowsy. So I laid down on the couch and took a 4 hour nap (booyah!). Tony made sure that once the kids woke up he brought them all outside to play and I slept like a mother of multiples who hasn't had a whole night's sleep in a year.
After the kids came in at around 4 o'clock, I got up and made another cup of coffee. Then made Tony go to the store to buy me chocolate and Devil Dogs (I started my rag last night so I am in major PMS mode). After the kids' supper and standard Sunday night baths, I cleaned up the toys while Tony put the kids all to bed.
I am currently having Lucky Charms for dinner, and will be following that delicacy with a chocolate explosion for dessert. We're watching the Sox game until Family Guy comes on and then I think I'll head to bed.
Awe yeah... The best Mother's Day EVER!!!!
Much love,
